At Birchlands Care Home we provide Residential, Dementia, Respite and 24-hour Nursing Care for residents over 65.

Our experienced and dedicated team enable us to nurse those with physical disabilities, those who require end of life care, those with high dependency needs, and those who become infirm.

Should your care requirements change while you are with us, it’s no problem! We regularly assess the care we are providing and ensure that it is tailored to your current needs and requirements.

Our experienced team are passionate about welcoming and integrating each resident to their new home, and we will take as much time as you need to help you settle into your new home.

Within your first 24 hours you will have met with your dedicated staff member and discussed your care plan.

Residents are encouraged to bring personal items, such as photographs, ornaments, etc. to make your room truly your own.

From the moment you arrive at Birchlands Care Home our team will ensure that your stay will be welcoming and comfortable. Your family and friends are welcome and may remain with you while you settle into your new surroundings.

We encourage our residents’ families to bring pets to visit any time, however, regrettably they can not stay in our home permanently.

Various social events, entertainment and activities are organised to ensure that there is always something interesting and stimulating going on. Our Activities Coordinators will support and encourage you with any hobbies, interests and excursions.  Individual therapeutic treatments can be arranged to suit your needs.

Birthdays are celebrated with a party and you will also receive a complimentary birthday cake. Private functions can be arranged in our private family lounge.

Delicious and nutritious meals are prepared onsite by our in-house chef and catering staff using local suppliers for meat, fruit, and vegetables.

Our breakfast, lunch and supper are served in the main dining room; however, snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. Room service is also available on request.
